Top five treasury highlights

As well as Robert and a selection of Kyriba experts popping up throughout the event, the agenda also features a good selection of treasurers talking about their experiences in a variety of areas. Here are CTMfile's top five highlights from the Global Summit agenda:

1. Seismic shifts in the liquidity and payments landscapes - what this means for finance leaders

The world of corporate finance is quickly shifting as technology continues to evolve, especially in payments and connectivity. This session features Samuel Guillon, CFO of Colas Group, discussing how adapting to these shifts can not only aid companies through economic crises but also help them take advantage of new liquidity sources, adopt new payment standards, manage fraud and redefine their approach to liquidity management.

2. Exposing exposures - mastering FX risk in times of increased volatility

Amid global economic uncertainty, fluctuations in currencies can lead to massive FX impacts and negatively affect earnings per share. However, having access to accurate, complete and timely exposure data can mitigate these risks. In this session, Michael Murray, Director, Treasury Initiatives at The Coca-Cola Company will discuss how Coca-Cola manages FX risk and compliance, providing in-depth insight into how currencies impact its financial results and how they cost-effectively hedge FX exposure.

3. The future of integrated liquidity planning and forecasting

Forecasting is a fundamental component of making key financial decisions and has proven even more important during the events of 2020. In this session, Kyriba will be explaining its vision for the future of Active Liquidity Planning and how it collaborate with companies of all sizes, using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to create more accurate forecasts and deliver greater confidence throughout their organizations. Yang Xu, SVP Global Finance and Treasurer at Kraft Heinz will be on the panel sharing her experiences.

4. A comprehensive approach to risk management at Avery Dennison

Global materials science and manufacturing firm Avery Dennison will describe first-hand how their global TMS implementation enabled them to improve their holistic risk management programmes. Ramón Tolk, Senior Director Treasury, and Sandeep Nene, Senior Manager - Treasury, will also highlight how Avery Dennison successfully managed FX and funding risk during the volatile market conditions we have all faced this year.

5. Supply chain finance programs as catalysts to improve payments to suppliers and free cash flow

In 2020, boosting cash flow has been of increasing importance as the global pandemic and shutdown of workforces have interrupted business as usual. This session will delve into how companies are implementing supply chain finance solutions to generate additional free cash flow and secure supplier relationships while maximising days' payable outstanding (DPO). Rob MacNeil, Global Treasurer of Cooke Inc, is the corporate panellist for this session.
