All leading banks’ cash management services are going mobile: next it’s ANZ
by CTMfile
ANZ is preparing to launch an iOS app that will enable corporate customers to manage their Australian and New Zealand cash management activities on the go. They are using Bottomline Technologies to develop the mobile version of their Transactive service, enabling corporate customers to monitor account balances, view current and prior day transactions, and approve or reject payments through their iPhones, iPads and iPod touches.
The service will be rolled out in Australian and New Zealand in the fourth quarter, with key Asia Pacific markets following soon after. ANZ is also already working on an improved version, with better security, payments and FX rates functionality, as well as support for non-Apple devices.
Banks believe that having a mobile version of cash management services is essential, so that corporate treasury staff can “be as productive on the road as they are in the office.“ This is delusional, work on the road is not the same as work in the office. They are and will always be very different. It is the time-effective balance of the different types of work that is the key. This is what banks and suppliers should be focusing on.
