The Africa trade desk resource will provide first-hand knowledge about the market, including Africa specific trends and related product expertise. This includes the areas of documentary trade, structured trade finance and related supply chain finance transactions. The desk will help streamline the trade transaction process for UK & European corporates doing business with and in Africa, enabling quicker access to Africa specific expertise and leading to more efficient transaction structuring and decision making.

The London-Africa desk is managed by Jon Cunha, and sits within the wider London based Barclays Trade Finance team. Jon was formerly Senior Trade Originator at ABSA Capital based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Jon will report into Jason Barrass and Geoff Parry, UK Head of Global Corporates, Trade Finance.
