Concardis launches card acceptance platform for merchants
by Ben Poole
Concardis has announced the launch of SmartPay, a digital product offering designed to simplify face-to-face payments for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the DACH region (Austria, Germany, and Switzerland). The roll out of the platform will begin in Germany.
The solution provides a card terminal, card acceptance and digital tools. SmartPay will display all transactions digitally for the merchant. This allows them to keep an eye on transactions and cardholder activity, and also to receive support from customer service with a single click.
"Tailor-made payment solutions for the needs of small and medium-sized merchants are rare today in the DACH region," said Robert Hoffmann, CEO of Concardis. "We are closing this gap and bringing all payment systems and relevant payment processes together on one smart platform. In doing so, we are taking a decisive step forward in the digitalisation of small and medium-sized businesses: all processes, from onboarding and customer service to the processing and visualisation of payments, have been fully digitalised for the merchants."
The SmartPay portal, which is available as both a desktop and an app version, can be used to view individual reports, track sales in real time, or directly evaluate transactions and payouts. The overview of incoming payments from all channels is fully automated, and also provides insights into customer structure, purchasing behaviour and payment preferences.
The company says that its integration with Nets A/S, a payment service provider in Northern Europe that Concardis merged with at the beginning of the year, will also create new synergies and opportunities to bring innovations to market and support customers.
