Dennis Sweeney has been named managing director and a Treasury Solutions Executive at the Global Transaction Services business of BofA Merrill. He will join in September and be based in New York.

As a Treasury Solutions Executive, Sweeney will work closely with various teams and gloobal product leaders to provide senior finance executives at BofA Merrill's largest global clients with advice, expertise, best practices and trends related to their treasury platforms.

Dennis was previously with General Electric for 20 years, most recently as Deputy Treasurer, where he created a Treasury consulting group that integrated acquisitions, conducted Treasury reviews of existing business operations, identified best practices and implemented new technology. While with GE, Sweeney launched the first web-enabled Treasury workstation in the industry and led the drive to open the SWIFT network to corporate Treasury users.
