Already a leading escrow provider in the United States and Europe, JP Morgan treasury services have launched new escrow services in South Africa to help clients mitigate counterparty risk. JP Morgan will now provide escrow services in South Africa, under local law, in South African rand and major foreign currencies. The firm is currently extending its footprint in the sub-Saharan Africa region, having recently expanded its office in Nigeria and in the process of setting up new representative offices in Ghana and Kenya.
