Meridian Global Services, the international VAT solutions provider, today announced its “Meridian VAT Add-on for SAP 7.0” has achieved SAP certification as powered by the SAP NetWeaver® technology platform. The solution integrates with SAP NetWeaver and, for the first time, enables clients to achieve fully automated and compliant indirect tax processes directly within their SAP® ERP application, without the need for any interfacing systems.

Meridian’s new VAT Add-on v7.0 solution places all the required functionality directly into the user’s in-house SAP system, using standard SAP techniques. Certified by SAP the flexible design makes implementation and ongoing maintenance the preferred choice for multinational companies. The new design is based on an integrated modular approach where clients have the option of implementing some or all of the modules which provide: fully automated and compliant VAT determination on sales, manual and electronic purchases; VAT ID validation;  reporting and analytics; and tax code validation.
