Thomson Reuters helps to identify global tax credits and incentives
by Kylene Casanova
Thomson Reuters has announced the launch of a product that helps companies identify tax credits and incentives. The 'Credits & Incentives Pinpointer: International' enables companies to take advantage of global tax-saving opportunities.
The product identifies 20 credit types in about 60 countries, which can help companies setting up business in a new jurisdiction. According to Thomson Reuters, many tax credits or incentives go unclaimed due to language and communication barriers as well as the complexity or poor availability of information.
The product provides comparison tools, such as a summary table view of the different credits and tax savings in various countries.
The International version of the Credits and Incentives Pinpointer is in addition to Thomson Reuters' other product, the Credits and Incentives Pinpointer: Statutory and Discretionary.
CTMFile take: This tool could be very useful to corporates looking to uncover tax credits and incentives in their operating jurisdictions or in new business markets. Corporate treasurers are aware of the potential difficulty of understanding foreign tax incentives.
