Treasury Management Systems are the glue that brings it all together

Corporate treasurers have always known that their cash and treasury management is affected by all parts of the group. All parts and functions have an impact on the liquidity and working capital management. Cloud-based solutions make it easier to connect and integrate.

The cloud-based TMS solutions are now developed matured and able to deliver significant results, as recent examples show:

  • Computershare Limited - the world’s largest stock transfer company and provides corporate trust, stock transfer and employee share plan services in many countrie and has offices in 20 countries - used Visual Risk in  Australia. They have now rolled it out to their other major centres in the USA, Canada and the UK. This enables consolidated reporting and analysis as well as improved oversight of regional dealing and investment activities.
  • Hasbro uses the Reval Cloud Platform to connect its global operations for treasury and risk management, leveraging straight-through processing to Reval's partner offerings. "We use Fides, FXall, Thomson Reuters’ market data and SAP, all without leaving the system. Reval is unique in its connection to Fides for bank connectivity, so we did not have to seek out another source ourselves,” Martin Trueb, Hasbro’s corporate treasurer. Hasbro have used Reval’s Cloud Plaform to, to provide: “leadership with real-time information, spending time on strategic planning and forecasting and learning new ways to manage our treasury responsibilities globally.”

Most TMS providers are reporting increased integration of functions, e.g. global treasury cash forecasting and payment processing, across the group. The TMS has become the glue that makes cash and treasury management/working capital management come together.
