Call for candidates for Corporate Finance consultative working group
by Kylene Casanova
The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has launched an open call for candidates for its Corporate Finance Standing Committee’s (CFSC) consultative working group.
The two-year term of the current consultative working group is due to end shortly and ESMA, which is active in the area of corporate finance, is therefore seeking to renew appointments to the group.
The authority's aim is to develop a single rulebook and to increase supervisory convergence across EU member states. The CFSC advises ESMA on its work on issues related to prospectuses, transparency, corporate governance and takeover bids.
Members of the working group, who will be appointed on a personal basis, are expected to provide technical assistance to the committee and contribute to all stages of policy development. Applicants should hold EU nationality and have seven to 10 years of professional experience in the financial services sector related to corporate finance.
There is more information on ESMA's website and candidates should send their applications by email by 16 October 2015.
