Citi's Global Transactions Services unit has launched CitiDirect BE Mobile, a mobile browser-based application allowing their clients to receive notifications and authorise payments using their mobile phones. At launch, CitiDirect BE Mobile has been made available to over 50k clients and 300k users world-wide.
CitiDirect BE Mobile brings core transaction services, already available on Citi's on-line banking platform, CitiDirect Online Banking, directly to their clients' mobile phones. Clients can receive SMS alerts that complement e-mail and fax notifications, and authorise payments pending approval in every payment type supported by the online banking platform.
