by Jack Large
Citi’s Treasury and Trade Solutions has expanded its WorldLink® Payment Services cross-border ACH capabilities to 60 countries. The expanded WorldLink® functionality will enable users to send cross-border ACH payments into ten additional markets in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
Future expansion
In addition, nine cross-border ACH corridors are in the advanced stages of development for planned delivery in early 2018. Once implemented, this will allow WorldLink® users access to file based cross-border ACH solutions in a total of 34 currencies and 69 countries.
WorldLink service
WorldLink®, Citi’s flagship institutional cross-border payments solution, leverages the latest technology and serves over 3,500 clients by processing over 50 million payments a year, cumulatively valued at $250 billion into over 195 countries. WorldLink® uses an extensive network built upon Citi’s on-the-ground branch presence which provides direct access to approximately 250 local and regional clearing systems.
CTMfile take: The global banks are in a race to keep ahead of the new fintech based services as the cross-border payment market hots up.
