The Autobahn App Market was the first app-based electronic client offering in the financial services industry, providing access to Deutsche Bank’s electronic products, services and intellectual property, including the Bank’s transaction banking services, award-winning research, commentary, pricing, analytics and execution tools. The Autobahn apps are built with the latest front-end technology toolkit, enabling clients to use them on a multitude of browsers, operating systems and devices.

The Autobahn App Market has been developed by exercising great discipline leveraging synergies and best practices from across the entire organisation, and by using the valuable feedback we received from our clients. It exemplifies our client-centric product development strategy.”

Ongoing development of Autoban platform

With its innovative design and powerful capabilities, the app will revolutionalise the way corporate treasurers access and process their transactions. We look forward to introducing it to our clients in other markets after this launch in India.”

Deutsche Bank’s Cash Manager and Securities Portfolio Manager apps will be made available in other countries throughout 2014 and 2015.

CTMfile take: The Autobahn app platform in late 2011 was the first app market from a major cash management bank, and now has well over 150 Apps. Surprisingly, the only major player to follow their lead was Bloomberg in November 2012. Even so, this is undoubtedly the way more and more services are being delivered. What is holding back the development of app markets’ in the corporate cash management business’? It’s a mystery…..
