SWIFT connectivity: Reval and Fides integration

There are different ways TMS suppliers are connecting their cloud services to the SWIFT network.

Reval has integrated the Fides data aggregation and payment service into their Treasury & Risk Management system, so that their users have SWIFT connection and provide basically the same solution as Alliance Lite2 users. Reval partner with Fides who are a service bureau that use their BIC (Fides are a part of Credit Suisse and can act like a bank) to transfer messages over the SWIFT network and/or offer corporate BICs with a standard gateway to SWIFT, as the diagram below shows:

Reval users just have a single contractual relationship with Reval who does all the support and maintenance. Users don’t necessarily have to register for SWIFT’s SCORE because Fides is working on their behalf and is a bank subsidiary so can send and receive payment messages.

Reval partners
Reval has several partners (they call them STP partners), as well as Atlas Risk, who have linked their cloud based services to the Reval cloud based Treasury Risk Management service.

CTMfile take: This shows that Alliance Lite2 is not the only way to link to the SWIFT network and that using a service bureau which is part of a bank has its advantages, including not needing to become a member of SCORE. It also shows the flexibility of cloud-to-cloud linking.
